CREAM OF BROCCOLI SOUP 
4 c. water
2 c. chopped broccoli
2 c. chopped ham
1 onion, chopped
1 potato, chopped
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. dried basil
1 chicken bouillon cubes
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Combine first 11 ingredients in a heavy kettle. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 30 minutes until broccoli is tender. Spoon a third of mixture into container of blender; blend 20 seconds. Repeat until all ingredients have been blended. Pour mixture back into kettle. Stir in milk and simmer 20 minutes. Garnish with Parmesan cheese, if desired. Good.
