CHILI 
1 lb. 85% lean ground beef
1 chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
1 clove minced garlic
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 (16 oz.) can dark red kidney beans, drained
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 tsp. hot chili powder
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 c. hot picante sauce
1 chopped red pepper

In large kettle, cook ground beef, onion, red and green pepper and garlic until meat is browned. Drain off fat. Stir in tomatoes, undrained, kidney beans, tomato sauce, chili powder and basil. Add pinch of salt and fresh ground pepper. Bring to a boil and add picante sauce. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for at least 20 minutes.
