PECAN COOKIES 
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add other ingredients and mix well. Set in refrigerator until dough is easy to roll. Roll into 3 or 4 log shaped rolls about 6-inches long. Wrap in Saran Wrap or wax paper and let stand in refrigerator until cold enough to slice thin. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
