DANISH PUDDING (CAKE) 
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 c. chopped nuts
1 grated orange rind
1# cut up dates (floured)
1 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. orange juice
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and butter. Add one egg at a time. Sift flour, soda and salt together; add milk, orange juice, orange rind, nuts and dates. Bake in tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

SAUCE FOR CAKE:

1 grated orange rind
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. orange juice

Rub orange rind into sugar, add juice and stir until sugar dissolves. Pour over cake while hot.
