2 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
5 or 6 tbsp. self-rising flour
2 1/2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix cocoa and sugar. Add salt and flour. Then add milk and egg yolks. Cook until thick, add butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with Cool Whip or egg white or leave plain.
