CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
6 eggs (one at a time)
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Sift together flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt; then add to creamed shortening and sugar. Next add milk slowly until entire cup is blended. To this mixture, add eggs, one at a time, blending thoroughly after each egg. Lastly, add vanilla. Pour cake mixture into a large greased and floured tube pan and bake 1 1/2 hours or longer at 300 degrees. The secret of this cake is to mix the ingredients in the order given above.

CHOCOLATE ICING:

1 stick butter, melt in microwave
1 1/2 sqs. semi-sweet chocolate, melt in intervals
1 box confectioners sugar
Enough canned milk for moisture
Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
