DON'T THROW IT AWAY CHICKEN SOUP | |
1 oven stuffer roaster chicken carcass 1 med. onion 3 celery stalks Salt & pepper 4 c. cooked rice After your family has enjoyed their chicken dinner, don't let them throw away the bones. In a large pot combine the carcass, onion, celery and 10 cups of water (or about 1/2 pot of water). Bring contents to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, cover and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Strain. Salt and pepper to taste. Add rice. Carrots are nice to add but sometimes children don't like them. |
