1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. hot Italian sausage 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. leaf oregano 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 lb. Velveeta cheese 3 loaves party rye bread (sm. loaves) Brown meats in pan. Pour off grease. Add oregano, Worcestershire sauce and cheese. Stir over low heat until cheese is melted. Make sure meat is in very small pieces. Spread on the party rye and place on waxed paper on cookie sheets. Freeze. Then place in plastic bags in freezer. They can be taken from freezer, put on cookie sheet and baked at about 400 degrees. Makes a great snack or hors d'oeuvres. |
