RAISIN NUT CAKE 
2 c. seedless raisins
1 c. oil
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. walnuts, chopped
2 c. water
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. oatmeal

Combine raisins and water, bring to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in oil and cool to lukewarm. Stir in sugar, egg and add oatmeal. Sift together dry ingredients, beat into raisin mixture, then stir in nuts. Pour into greased and floured pan, 13 x 9 inches. Bake until well done at approximately 375 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
