1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, melted

Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, peanut butter and vanilla. In small bowl thoroughly blend flour, salt and baking soda. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Beat until well blended.

Form into 1 inch balls. Place on greased baking sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten into 2 inch circles. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove and cool cookies before spreading 1/2 teaspoon melted chocolate on each cookie.
