INDIAN FRY BREAD 
4 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
1 1/2 c. warm water
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. shortening

Combine flour, baking powder, salt and shortening. Add water to make a soft dough. Roll into a ball. Pat dough with hands until thin and flat. Fry in hot shortening about 1 inch deep in a large pan. Brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with honey or jelly.
