OKRA SOUP 
1 lg. meaty beef bone
4 qt. water
4 bacon slices
3 lb. sliced okras
2 med. sliced onions
2 (28 oz.) cans whole tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste
Tabasco sauce to taste
4 c. cooked rice

Cover beef bone in large pot of lightly salted water over low heat until tender. Fry bacon until crisp, crumble and set aside. Saute okras and onions in drippings until moisture evaporates. Add okra mixture, bacon bits, and canned tomatoes to cooking beef. Add salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce to taste. Simmer for about 2 hours. Serve over rice. Makes 8 servings.
