COCONUT ANGEL BAVARIAN | |
1 pt. milk 4 eggs, separated 1 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 2 envelopes plain gelatin (Knox) 1/2 c. cold water 2 lg. pkg. frozen coconut 4 or 5 tbsp. sherry 1 box Dream Whip 1 lg. angel food cake (bakery) Spray a tube pan with Pam. Mix milk, egg yolks, sugar and flour and cook over low heat until mixture thickens and forms custard. Dissolve gelatin in the cold water and add to the hot mixture. Stir, let cool, add sherry. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add whipped Dream Whip and egg whites to custard mixture. Break angel food cake into 1 inch pieces. Put a layer of cake in pan, cover with custard. Sprinkle with coconut. Repeat 3 layers. Chill in refrigerator overnight. Serve with whipped cream. |
