CREOLE GRILLADES 
2 lbs. round steak
1/4 c. butter
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Accent or MSG
1 tbsp. flour
1 med. sized onion
1/2 c. tomato juice
1 minced garlic clove

1. Cut meat into bite sized pieces and brown in 1 tablespoon butter in skillet. Season both sides with mixture of salt, pepper and MSG. When well browned, remove from heat.

2. To make creole gravy, in a saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon butter. Blend in flour, stirring constantly. Add chopped onion and continue stirring until mixture is golden brown. Blend in tomato juice and garlic.

3. Spoon sauce over meat. Cover tightly and simmer over low heat until meat is tender (1 hour). Add water if needed and stir occasionally. Serve spooned onto a bed of steaming rice!
