TEXAS BROWNIES (TEXAS SHEATH
CAKE)
 
STEP 1:
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt

Mix.

STEP 2:
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 cube butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. water

Bring to a boil in saucepan.

STEP 3:

Pour hot mixture over flour mixture.

STEP 4:
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla

Add. Bake on large greased 13 x 17 x 2 (jelly roll) pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 29 minutes.

ICING:

Make icing while cake is baking. Prepare 5 minutes before cake is done. Bring to boil. 4 tbsp. cocoa 6 tbsp. milk

Add: 1 c. chopped nuts 1 tbsp. vanilla

Pour on cake as soon as cake is taken out of oven. Be careful not to crumble cake, spread rapidly.
