STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 c. granulated sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. white Karo syrup
1 c. water
2 tbsp. strawberry Jello
1 qt. fresh strawberries
Cool Whip or Dream Whip

Mix the first 5 ingredients together and cook and stir until clear. Remove from heat and add the strawberry Jello. Let cool while you stem and clean the fresh strawberries. Place them in the cooled pie crust. Pour the filling over the berries in the crust. Chill at least 2 hours. Serve with Cool Whip or Dream Whip.
