SCALLOPED POTATOES 
1 onion
4-6 potatoes
1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup
1 can milk

In 2 or 3-quart casserole dish, arrange 1 onion, thinly sliced with enough thinly sliced potatoes to fill dish. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. As you lay in potatoes and onions, spread 1 can soup over them. Add 1 can milk. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Check during baking to see that potatoes are not dry, if so add more milk.
