POTATO SOUP 
8 red potatoes, med. to lg.
1 bunch shallots
1 can chicken broth
1 stick butter
1 lb. bacon
1 1/2 qt. water
1 can Pet milk

Cut bacon into small bits, fry until crisp, remove from pot and pour off grease. Put 1 1/2 quarts water, chopped shallots, diced potatoes, cook until tender. Remove potatoes and mash into small lumps. Return to liquid, add chicken broth, bacon. Stir 1 can Pet milk and butter into liquid and adjust with salt and pepper.
