SWEET SOCIETY CHIPS 
14 lg. cucumbers

Pour boiling water over cucumbers for 4 mornings. Fifth Morning: Slice cucumber 1/4 inch and pour following syrup over them.

Boil:

1 qt. vinegar
8 c. sugar
2 tbsp. pickle spices
2 tsp. salt

6, 7 and 8 days - drain off liquid and bring to boil and pour back over chips.

9th day - pour syrup in pan and bring to a boil. Put chips in syrup and cook until they are heated through.

Put in sterile jars and seal.
