ROASTED PECANS 
2 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. butter
Salt to taste
1 lb. or 4 c. shelled pecan halves

Melt oil and butter on large cookie sheet with sides. Sprinkle with salt. Spread pecans over pan in single thickness and stir to coat them with butter-oil mixture. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. You can add more salt if necessary.
