SCOTCH SHORTBREAD 
Use a jelly roll size cookie sheet. 1/2 pound butter and about 1" or walnut size piece of butter. Melt butter in pan (cookie sheet). Stir in 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup sugar.

Pat down with a fork and mark grooves (with fork). Lightly sprinkle white sugar on top.

Bake at 200 to 250 degrees for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours. Turns golden when baked.
