DISAPPEARING MARSHMALLOW BROWNIES | |
1/2 c. butterscotch pieces 1/4 c. butter 3/4 c. flour 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 1 c. miniature marshmallows 1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1/4 c. chopped nuts Grease bottom and sides of 9-inch square baking pan. Melt, stirring constantly, the butterscotch pieces and butter. Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm. Add to butterscotch mixture in saucepan the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla and egg. Mix well. Fold in just until combined, about 5 strokes, the marshmallows, chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Center will be jiggly but becomes firm upon cooling. |
