6 egg yolks 1/2 c. sugar Dash of salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 pt. half and half 1 qt. milk Nutmeg 1/2 pt. whipping cream 6 egg whites 1/4 c. sugar Dash salt 1. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar (1/4 cup) during beating, dash of salt after beating. Gently fold into first mixture. 2. Beat whipping cream. Fold into first mixture. 3. Beat egg yolks, gradually adding sugar, then dash of salt. Add 1/2 pint of whiskey, if desired. 4. Mix half and half cream with milk. Add to first mixture. Serve with nutmeg. |
