IRISH SCONE OR SODA BREAD 
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix dry ingredients first; add butter and buttermilk. Mix well. Add raisins, knead until well mixed. Bake in shallow cake pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
