HOMEMADE LIGHT BREAD 
2 c. lukewarm water
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening

Crumble in 1 cake yeast. Stir in 6 to 6 1/4 cups flour. Let rise 2 times, fist double in size then make in loaves, let rise. Bake 15 minutes at 450 degrees, reduce to 375 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
