BLACKBERRY DUMPLINGS 
3 pt. ripe blackberries
3/4 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. butter

Combine ripe blackberries, water, sugar, and butter in large saucepan. Bring blackberry mixture to boil. Add dumplings a spoonful at a time into boiling mixture. Cover lid, reduce heat slightly to prevent sticking, and cook covered for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Dumplings:

2 c. flour
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
3 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
milk

Sift the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder into mixing bowl. Add egg, and mix well. Add enough milk to make a stiff batter.
