6 c. rolled oats 1 c. flaked coconut 1 c. wheat germ 1/2 c. sunflower seeds 1 c. almonds, dry roast peanuts or cashews 1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1/2 c. honey 1/3 c. water 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1-2 c. seedless golden or dark raisins Banana chips, chopped dates or apricots. Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, nuts and cinnamon in large roasting pan. Mix oil, honey, water, salt and vanilla. Pour over dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring frequently. Cool and add dried fruits as desired. Store tightly covered. Makes 10 to 11 cups. |
