FRESH CORN CASSEROLE | |
8 slices bacon, halved 1 green pepper, diced 3 c. raw corn kernels, cut off the cob 1 c. boiled ham, diced 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 2 c. dried bread crumbs 2 c. fresh tomatoes, chopped 1/2 c. beef bouillon 1/4 tsp. pepper Place 4 slices bacon in bottom of shallow 2-quart casserole. Top with half of bread crumbs. Add in layers; green peppers, tomatoes, corn, ham; season with salt and sugar. Sprinkle remaining bread crumbs and bacon. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Pour bouillon over pie. Cook another 30 minutes. Serves 6. |
