FISH & CHIPS 
1 c. pancake flour
1 egg plus cold water to make 3/4 c. liquid
1/2 tsp. salt
Any white fish, cut in strips
Oil for deep frying

Put flour in bowl. Coat fish in the flour and lay out on paper towel. Beat egg with water and salt; add to remaining flour. Stir just to moisten. Dip fish in batter and drop carefully into deep fat heated to 370 degrees. Cook just until golden color.
