PEPPER STEAK 
1 steak (chuck, sirloin or round), cut in thin strips
1 tbsp. fat
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. water
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 beef bouillon cube
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lg. onion, sliced & separated into rings
2 green peppers, sliced into thin rings
1 c. mushrooms, sliced

Brown meat in hot fat; add flour. Stir in ketchup, water, soy sauce, beef bouillon cube and pepper; heat to boiling. Add onion; cover and simmer 30 minutes or until meat is tender. Add green peppers and mushrooms, and simmer 10 minutes longer. Pepper rings should be crispy-tender. Serve over rice.
