STRAWBERRY JAM WITH LIQUID
PECTIN
 
4 c. crushed strawberries (about 2 qts. fresh berries)
7 c. sugar
1/2 bottle liquid pectin

Crush berries and measure into a large kettle. Add the sugar and stir well. Place on high heat and, stirring constantly, bring quickly to a full boil. Boil hard for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in the pectin. Skim off foam. Stir gently at frequent intervals for five minutes. This will help prevent floating fruit. Pour into hot glass containers to within 1/2 inch of top and seal. Yield: 4 pints.
