OLD FASHIONED SAUERKRAUT AND SAUSAGE | |
2 lbs. sauerkraut 1 onion, chopped 1 potato, grated 1 apple, chopped 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. caraway seed 1/2 tsp. celery seed Pinch of ground bay leaf 2 c. chicken soup or chicken bouillon Ring sausage or wieners Drain and rinse sauerkraut. Add other ingredients, except meat. Stir and bring to boil. Place meat which has been cut to serving sizes on top. Cover and simmer for at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours. |
