GRANNY CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
2 eggs
1 lg. can pineapple with juice
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. coconut or chopped pecans

Mix together sugar, salt, soda, flour, and eggs. Add pineapple. Pour into a 9x13 inch greased pan. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup coconut or chopped pecans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Bring to boil and boil until thick, stirring constantly:

1 c. (sm. can) evaporated milk
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour over cake while hot.
