PEANUT BRITTLE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. Karo syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raw peanuts
1 c. water
1 tsp. butter

Mix sugar, water and syrup in pan and bring to boil over low heat. Increase heat and boil until spin thread stage. Add peanuts and boil until cracker stage when dropped into cold water. Add soda, reduce heat to very low and stir. Cook until leaves sides of pan. Add vanilla, stirring just enough to mix and pour onto buttered cookie sheet.
