STRAWBERRY PECAN BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. sliced strawberries 2/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. shortening 2 eggs 3 tbsp. buttermilk 2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. chopped pecans Cream sugar and shortening; blend in eggs and buttermilk. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in pecans and strawberries. Pour into greased 9 inch loaf pan. Let stand 20 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. |
