1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels 1 1/2 cubes butter 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 Pillsbury German chocolate cake mix 1 sm. can evaporated milk (2/3 c.) 1 c. chopped nuts Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Combine cake mix with 1/3 cup evaporated milk, melted butter and nuts. Take half of mix and press into 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust and pour caramels over chips and spread evenly. Crumble rest of cake mix over top and bake 15 to 18 minutes. Cool and serve at room temperature. |
