CHOW CHOW 
1 pkg. green tomatoes
1 qt. chopped cabbage
3/4 lb. onions, chopped
3 green peppers, chopped
1 red pepper
2 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
3 c. white vinegar
1 1/4 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. turmeric
3/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. mustard seed
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. pickling spice

Wash and prepare vegetables. Use grinder or food processor to chop. Mix with salt and let stand overnight. Mix all other ingredients. Heat to simmer for 20 minutes. Add vegetables. Cook until tender crisp. Pack in sterilized hot jars. Be sure liquid covers vegetables. Seal at once.
