APPLE POUND CAKE 
1 1/3 c. vegetable oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. chopped apples (do not peel)
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins dusted with flour

Mix oil and sugar, add eggs and apples. Combine flour, salt, baking soda and spices, stir into apple mixture, add vanilla and raisins. Cook in a greased and floured tube pan.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done. Top with glaze.

Glaze:

1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk

Place all ingredients in saucepan and bring to boil, boil hard for 1 minute, then pour over cake.
