LEMON CHESS PIE 
9 inch unbaked pie shell
2 cups sugar
1 tbsp. all purposed flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cornmeal
1/4 cup strained lemon juice
Grated rind of 2 lemons
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup melted shortening
4 eggs

Mix sugar, flour, salt and cornmeal. Add lemon juice, grated rind, milk and melted shortening. Add eggs one at a time. Eggs should be room temperature. Carefully pour into pie shell and bake in pre-heated 350°F oven for 50 minutes.
