SWEET AND SOUR PORK | |
1 lb. pork boneless shoulder, cut into 1/2" cubes 1 tbsp. ground ginger 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 can pineapple chunks, drained 1/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. soy sauce 1/3 c. sugar 1/2 c. water 1. Mix flour with ginger, pepper, paprika and salt. Coat pork with flour mixture. Heat oil in the skillet, fry pork until golden brown then remove from skillet drain oil away. 2. Pour sugar into skillet. Add 1/2 cup water. Heat to boil and stir; when sugar turns light brown stir in pineapple, soy sauce and vinegar. Heat to boil, stirring constantly about 1-2 minutes. Reduce heat and stir in the golden fry pork. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally until pork is tender about 20-30 minutes. Serve over hot rice or fried rice. |
