CABBAGE RELISH 
2 gal. grated cabbage
6 green bell peppers, grated
8 lg. onions or 12 sm. ones

Mix with 3/4 cup salt and let stand for 3 hours with heavy weight on top of container. Drain pressing off as much water as you can. 1 c. water 13 c. water 2 tbsp. celery seed 2 tbsp. turmeric 2 tsp. ground cloves

Mix. Add cabbage mixture to vinegar mixture and bring to boiling point but do not boil. Pour into hot jars and seal.
