CARAMEL FUDGE CAKE 
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels, unwrapped
1/2 c. butter
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated)
1 c. chopped nuts

Prepare cake mix as directed. Pour 2 cups batter into greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

In a saucepan, over low heat, melt caramels and butter. Remove from heat, add condensed milk. Mix well. Spread caramel mixture over cake batter. Spread remaining cake batter over caramel mixture. Return to oven. Bake 30 to 35 minutes longer. Cool and cut into squares.
