TEXAS CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE 
2 sticks butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
2/3 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 c. plain flour
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter in saucepan. Add cocoa and water. Bring to a boil; set aside.

In mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour chocolate mixture over this and mix well. Divide into 4 layers and bake at 350 degrees until done.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. buttermilk
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

In medium boiler, melt butter. Add cocoa and buttermilk, bring to a rapid boil. Remove from heat. Add confectioners' sugar, vanilla and nuts. Mix well.
