ONE STEP POUND CAKE | |
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. grated lemon or orange peel 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. butter (softened) 1 c. dairy sour cream 3 eggs GLAZE: 1 c. powdered sugar 1 to 2 tbsp. water 1/2 tsp. lemon extract Grease and flour 12 cup fluted tube pan. Combine all ingredients except glaze. Blend at low speed. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 60 to 65 minutes. Cool upright in pan 20 minutes, then turn onto serving plate. In small bowl, combine glaze ingredients and spoon over cake. |
