TURKEY SOPA 
1/2 cube butter (4 tbsp.)
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies
1 (8 oz.) jar taco sauce
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
1 (10 oz.) can consomme
3 c. cooked turkey or chicken, shredded or cut up
1 doz. corn tortillas, cut into 1 inch strips
1 lb. shredded Jack cheese
1 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese

Melt butter. Add onions and cook until tender. Add green chilies, taco sauce, both soups (undiluted) and turkey or chicken. Place layer of tortilla strips on bottom of casserole. Place alternate layers of soup mixture, tortilla strips and cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes to 1 hour, until thoroughly heated and cheese is melted.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
