CHEESIE POTATOES | |
3/4 stick butter 1 sm. onion, chopped 8 oz. pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 bag frozen hash browns (Potatoes O'Brien make a flavorful change) Melt butter, brown onion. Turn off heat, add cheese, soup, sour cream and 1/2 of potatoes. Add the rest of potatoes to a 9 x 12 inch pan and spread them evenly. Spread the cheese mixture on top. Bake approximately 1 hour (uncovered). Variations: Any flavor "cream" soup. Slice some "smoked" sausage and add before baking. Brown ground turkey, chicken or hamburger and add before baking. Add canned vegetables (drained). |
