STUFFED SHELLS WITH MEAT | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella 1/2 c. Italian-style bread crumbs 1/4 c. chopped parsley 1 egg, beaten 1/2 c. grated Parmesan 1 lg. box giant pasta shells 2-3 (15 oz.) cans Hunt's Italian tomato sauce In skillet, brown meat, onion and garlic; drain and cool. Stir in Mozzarella, crumbs, parsley and egg. Season to taste with pepper. Cook shells according to package directions; drain and rinse with cold water. Use meat mixture to stuff shells. Spoon half of sauce over bottom of 9x12 inch baking pan or casserole. Place shells on top of sauce. Pour remaining sauce over shells. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly. Can be frozen before baking. Serves 6. |
