NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST | |
1/4 c. hot water 1/2 c. shortening (if lard is used, use less) 1 1/2 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder Pour hot water over shortening. Beat until creamy. Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt. Stir together. Form into 3 balls for 9" pies. Chill. Roll out to 1/8" thickness. |
