ICE BOX BUTTER COOKIES 
3 sticks butter, softened (use only Imperial)
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add flour mixed with soda and vanilla. Blend thoroughly with mixer. Form dough into several rolls and refrigerate overnight or several hours. Slice and bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Number of cookies depends on the size of rolls and thickness of slice.
