SATURDAY WAFFLES 
3 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
4 lg. eggs
2 1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. melted butter

Melt and cool shortening. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Blend in eggs, milk, vanilla, and shortening together with the dry ingredients. Bake in a preheated waffle iron. Leftovers can be frozen for future use.
